Global Warming

The level of ocean rises, deserts take hold of new territories, weather becomes more and more unpredictable … These and other changes of a climate are dangerous to monuments of culture all over the world, from Canada up to Antarctic, - it has declared in World Monuments Fund.

The fund has made the list of hundred cultural goods to which the greatest danger threatens. In list - ancient constructions in territory of Iran, sanctuary Machu Picchu of Peru ,monuments of New Orleans which can be destroyed by hurricanes, and others. In the list are mentioned 59 countries. In the USA is most of all values to which danger threatens (7), in Peru - 6, per 5 in India and Turkey .

Chairman of fund Bonnie Burnham has told in the application, that, according to this list, the human – the present enemy of culture. But, if we realize this threat, we can prevent it.
