Global Warming

Today half of inhabitants of the country are afraid, that warming will render destructive influence on the life of mankind, irrespective of, any radical steps will be undertaken to constrain it, or not. In 2004, similar opinion adhered less than 40 % of Americans.

Research has shown also – 62 % of inhabitants of the USA consider, that the world will manage to be saved, if the mankind will agree to go to the supers-measure on the reduction on reduction of emissions of greenhouse gases . About 70 % would support the new international agreement which would force the USA to reduce volumes of emissions to 90 % by 2050 (as is known, the Congress has refused to ratify the Kyoto protocol foresees the reduction of emissions to 7% by 2012 ). Besides, 40 % of interrogated have declared, that at the presidential elections will take into consideration, how applicants for the White house are going to struggle with global warming.

According to the data of the ” WorldWatch Institute” , more than 43% of emissions of greenhouse gases occur as a result of combusting of oil and of petroleum products, 36% - as a result of the combustion of coal, 20% - as result of combustion of natural gas. Almost 25% of ejections are consequence of the production of electric power and heating of houses, 18% - output of minerals and building, 13.5% - activity of the agricultural enterprises, 3.5% - transport, 10.4% -the industries.
