Expert in the field of ecology devised the method to process human waste into biogas. The Indian ecologist proposed the cheap method of processing the by-products of human vital activity into the biogas and fertilizers, which, as he said, will improve the sanitary conditions of life of 2.6 billion people, forced to live without the toilet, and also will stop global warming.

The founder of the Sulabh International Social Service Organization ,Bindeshwar Pathak will present innovative system at the World Toilet Summit, which be held at the end of October in New Delhi.

“Association set as a goal - to reduce doubly the number of inhabitants of South Africa, which do not have toilet by 2015 and provide toilets to all by 2025″, – the ecologist has emphasized.

Pathak noted that the India’s contribution would be a toilet system of processing human waste into the compressed gas developed by it, whose combustion can be used, for example, for the production of fuel and electricity , and urine can be converted into fertilizer.

Russian scientists found the method to avoid global warming on the Earth, reported at the press conference of RIA news the director of the institute of global climate and ecology of the Russian Federal Service on Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring Service and the Russian Academy of Science academician Jurij Izrael.

As he said, the method developed by Russian scientists, provides dispersion, by the aid of planes, in the lower layers of the stratosphere (at height of 10-14 kilometers from the ground) of the thin layer of aerosol (0.25-0.5 microns) from various compound of sulfur. The drops of sulfur will reflect sunlight. By calculations of scientists, if they spray above the Earth one million tons of an aerosol this will make possible to decrease for 0.5-1 percent solar radiation, and temperature of air on 1-1.5 degrees of Celsius. The quantity of sprayed aerosol will be necessary to constantly support since the sulfur composition s will fall on the ground in the course of time.

Speaking about possible negative consequences from the use of the given method, Izrael has informed, that the quantity of sulfur compositions which will fall on the ground, is five thousand times lower than quantity of the sulfur compositions ejected by industrial enterprises. Izrael noted, that the method still requires more detailed study, and for its application must be accepted corresponding solution on the international level.
