Scientists from the Technological Institute of Georgia conducted the range study, which showed that global climate variation is capable of leading to an increase in the number of armed conflicts and to the decrease of population. During scientific research was studied the histories of humanity within the period from 1400 th to 1900th.According to this data, within the period from 1400th to 1900th occurred about 4.5 thousand wars.
Climate variation, according to the authors of a study, unavoidably renders influence on a quantity and quality of fresh water, the fertility of soils and the duration of agricultural season. If situation deteriorates, man occurs less the foodstuffs and water, that situation is capable to lead to the conflicts— to riots, the uprisings, protests and even wars.
Scientists recognized that from 1400th to 1900th coldest years were 1450th, 1650th and 1820th. As is proved to be, during the temperature drops a quantity of wars and internal conflicts in the world noticeably increased. Moreover, the inevitable consequences of climate variation are hunger and epidemics; as a result population is reduced.
The authors of a research also recognized that at that time wars could be predicted, being based on the price of the products. The decrease of harvests led to the food shortage and to an increase of the food cost. When price of the grain reached the specific level, wars began. Wars, in turn, led to the murders of peasants, the destruction of sowings etc which even more worsened situation.
The authors of research fear that humankind can expect the similar scenario in the case of continuing the process of global warming.
