Authors of the report which ” the Global sight ” refers to, warn, that melting of snows and ices can cause flooding of coastal areas and islands, flooding and landslips, especially in mountain areas.
In Siberia increase of temperatures and melting of a permafrost will lead to liberation of huge volumes of metane which, getting in an atmosphere, will aggravate a hotbed effect. By estimation of scientists, scales of such issues will be five times more, than was considered earlier, the news service of the United Nations informs on Tuesday, on June, 5th.
