Huge waves will be extended on hundreds kilometers at a surface of global ocean due global warming.
Geophysics investigated a surface of ocean and have found out, that rise in temperature is capable to raise high waves. To check up this assumption John Fife and Oleg Saenko of Canadian University “Victoriaâ€, have simulated ocean waves of 21st century.
« We have been really surprised by fact how quickly warming dispersed waves », - speaks Fife. In conformity with its model, global warming has already increased speed of movement of waves, but it nobody has noticed before.
The model also shows, that by the end of a century a waves will move on 20-40 % more quickly, than in days of Great geographical discoveries .
« This effect will be noticed in two next centuries, it is caused by global warming », - “New Scientist “ quoted words of Fife.
