“Association set as a goal - to reduce doubly the number of inhabitants of South Africa, which do not have toilet by 2015 and provide toilets to all by 2025″, – the ecologist has emphasized.
Expert in the field of ecology devised the method to process human waste into biogas. The Indian ecologist proposed the cheap method of processing the by-products of human vital activity into the biogas and fertilizers, which, as he said, will improve the sanitary conditions of life of 2.6 billion people, forced to live without the toilet, and also will stop global warming.
The founder of the Sulabh International Social Service Organization ,Bindeshwar Pathak will present innovative system at the World Toilet Summit, which be held at the end of October in New Delhi.
Pathak noted that the India’s contribution would be a toilet system of processing human waste into the compressed gas developed by it, whose combustion can be used, for example, for the production of fuel and electricity , and urine can be converted into fertilizer.
