Some things which you should consider when calculating the generated power.The power is proportional to the wind speed cubed. The mean wind speed used should be corrected for the appropriate height, for example if the mean wind speed at 50m height is 8mph then the expected wind speed at say 10m is (8mph/U)=(50m/10m)^0.143 where U is the mean wind speed at 10m. Also a Weibull distribution can accurately approximate the probability of a given wind speed for any site.
