Max Headroom didn't use CG; it was a combination of prosthetics, makeup, lighting and camera tricks.

I would have SHAT if I'd seen graphics like this in 1981. Mind you it was just a few years later that they hit us with the classics "Man With Large Chin Plays Piano" and "Desklight Plays With Ball."
Oh and let's not forget Max Headroom.

GODDAMN!!! Why couldn't TRoN be that cool! I didn't they were that advanced by 1981, this was just a few years after the premiere of CGI in that movie Future World.
