you would suprised how long your trainers last. I bought new ones a few weeks ago and iv been shuffling, jumping and hardstepping the whole time, trainers are still perfect.
Part of the reason is because you're actually hopping and not trying to force a slide. So you hear the rubber gently skiffing the ground but its not actually getting much friction.
