Gerjanp - If you fear being deceived, you should decline my offer, but I intend to keep making it as long as some respondents find it valuable. I intend no personal insult, but if this displeases you, I'm afraid that's your problem. It's not the problem of anyone who wants to contact me and believes he or she can judge whether or not that's worthwhile.
(Regarding public disclosure, anyone who contacts me is welcome to disclose what I say).

NASA once again lowers it expectations for Solar Cycle 24. On 1/5/09 it says Solar Cycle 24 will less active than Solar Cycle 23. I expect there will be yet more lowered adjustments in coming months.

"One alternative is to email me questions. I'll answer some directly (and politely), and cite authoritative sources for all."
When one sees something like this a useful caveat is to realise the shonky used car salesman doesn't like you to bring a mechanic along.
An honest person would have nothing to fear from telling his story in public.

These threads often feature arguers with strong opinions, a fondness for ridicule, but little grasp of climate change, whether it involves CO2 forcing, feedbacks, or the like. It's tempting to reciprocate the hostility, but that does little to help the occasional viewer who comes here hoping to learn something. One alternative is to email me questions. I'll answer some directly (and politely), and cite authoritative sources for all. I suggest this because some have already found it very useful.

So I guess it's safe to say you have no answer to the question.
It's ok. Talking point parrots rarely do. |
