I agree with your comment on stopping the foreign adventures and imperialism, because that just breeds hate. But are you saying because there are many immigrants of non anglo origin, that the US gov is no longer controlled by socio economic elite anglos and jewish controlled big business?

Absolutely not. I am just telling you the only "logic" left for our interventionism. Military Keynesianism, like the regular economic Keynesianism which is bailing out and inflating the dollar, has bankrupted America. Real inflation, which is not accurately reported, is already at 10% and climbing, so is unemployment. If we only obeyed the Constitution and took George Washington's advice the USA would have sound money, a strong economy, and worlwide respect. Say no to foreign interventionism.

Just as many Americans have become dependent on the federal government. It's not just medicare, or welfare, its the billions of research dollars that pour into universities from the DOD or the gutted out manufacturing sector whose last real footing is weapons manufacturing. The rot goes deep; and as Eisenhower predicted, the military-industrial -(Congressional was edited from the speech)complex is impoverishing America and making us less safe.

Except it's about as Anglo Saxon as the Normans who invaded England. Whether you mind this fact, or don't mind it; the US is rapidly losing not only its anglo saxon, but European roots as well. Not that those in charge care; but you see, that's what imperialism leads to, a lack of focus on the domestic issues supplanted by waste and focus on foreign military adventures.

Why dominate them? First, it provides jobs for the military; trust me, living on base on Okinawa and getting 3 squares and pay is better than where most soldiers come from in America. Second, one of the last things we manufacture well are weapons. Those bullets, rockets, shells, helicopters need a use, and Okinawa is a nice little training ground; one of many. Military Keynesianism, that's what places like Okinawa are about.

Don't you see what you have become? You are a Soviet. The only way you can justify our government's heinous and wasteful actions is to compare them to worse governments. The Soviet Union is hated because of their actions, and it collapsed because of fiscal and moral bankruptcy. We, as Americans, are morally and financially bankrupt, and your moral bankruptcy is evidenced by your comment.

I have family who fought and bleed for that Island. Screw Okinawains. They are lucky we didn't deport all of them like soviets did with the northern islands. |
