I Manage an Intralase clinic, My advice is "be smart" this is an elective surgery:research your surgoen, listen/take notes at your cons, know your epected outcome.
U can have compromise with distance vision 2 obtain good close up vision! After surgery DONT cover 1 eye to compare with the other - both eyes work together did so before U had surgery! I would have surgery with my surgeons as they have conservative views and safety comes first - find a similar surgoen and u will be fine! Go for it!

I wish my operation could have been recorded but all electronic devices had to be turned off.

Hello,do you notice the appearance of "floaters" little dots or lines that cross your vision on occasion? (Especially when looking at a white wall?I had intralase done a few weeks back and notice them on occasion..just wondering if this is normal..and if they go away once healing occurs...:)

I just am so used to seeing perfect with my glasses and it's just a bit frustrating with the fluctuations. How long did it take for your distance vision to come back..I called the clinic and they told me it could take up to three months to heal...I was quite disappointed to hear that...I am seeing my dr in three wks and hopefully I'll have some improvement with the distance...I thought on average most people regained 20/20 within the next day or week!!! So fingers crossed..Thanks foryour reply!

I noticed significant results immediately the next morning. My left eye wasn't as good but about 2 weeks after the surgery it has gotten just as good as my left eye. Both eyes are 20/15. I'd just be patient with your vision...I think they said it's common that it may fluctuate the first few weeks...

Hi there, I have also had the custom intralase surgery...just this past thursday...My near vision is quite impressive but my distant vision is a bit blurry still. How long did it take you to see significant results? Are you happy with the results? Thanks for posting this!! |
